Default How often does EoTN go on sale?

I'm an extremely casual GW player, I dabbled a few years ago, put it down, then picked it up recently because the GW2 hype is making me crazy and I thought I might catch up on the lore and earn a few rewards. The highest I've ever gotten a toon is 10, that's how casual.

So I know I need Eye of the North to open the Hall of Monuments and NCSoft wants 20 but I was wondering if the digital price drops often? Maybe on Steam sales or something? Is it even worth it? I guess I'd have a point for my birthday miniature, a point for MOX, and 3 for linked accounts...is it even feasable to get enough to unlock the cat or raccoon minis before GW2 launches?

It's very possible to get 20 or even 30 points before GW2 launches.... It all depends how much 'casual' you are.

There are more than enough guides around the forum (and other websites) explaining how to get 30 points via the most effective route. The digital price sometimes drops for EotN and with Christmas coming around the corner it probably will soon (don't hold me to that).

As for if it's worth it... In my personal opinion EotN kicks the first three games right where it hurts. It's just that fun.

I would urge you to try Amazon.com. I got everything but EOTN from them brand new at well below retail or digital price.

You probably have around 6 months before gw2 comes out and even then you could continue getting points for your Hall after the release date.

If you never got past level 10 I am assuming you didn't really leave the start areas of the game, if so you have a fair bit of work to do.
Suppose you play a few hours a week I think you can achieve 20 points+ easily.

Devotion - Minis suppose you can get 1 rare and 1 unique mini that's 3 points.
Fellowship - 10 Heroes/animal companions should be no problem 6 points.
Honour - Accounts Linked and any statue equals 5 points if you can get 5 statues in all one of them pvp then that's another 6 points.
Resilience - This can get you 8 points but to be honest its going to cost you money and if you don't have it then serious play time.
Valor - another possible 8 points but again lots of play time or money so I would leave these last two hom areas till you really decide you need more points.
With a little time and effort as a casual player as stated you might pick up another few points in the last two areas.

I make that you could get to 14 points without trying and another 6 with a bit of work.

Amazon, of course! I got it for 13 bucks, not bad. I'm going to read up some more on filling my HoM, a lot of it still is confusing as I'm not deeply familiar with the game but I'm sure the more I play the more I'll understand.

You can just join a HoM guild, it will help you as it's based on these things!
